Greetings from Greece!
It’s hard to believe we are already approaching June. Where has this year gone? As the months move quickly forward, I’m reminded that some remarkable opportunities are ahead for gathering under the stars, observing radiant Venus in the evening sky, and celebrating together.
One of these opportunities is the Venus Immersion Retreat in the Yucatán, September 17–24. This retreat is designed to experience Venus on many levels, and much of what it offers is beautifully expressed in the video itself.
Still, I want to highlight a few themes we will be exploring together.
Students of the Venus Star already know that 2026 marks a rare astrological threshold: the closing of the 100-year Venus cazimi cycle in Scorpio. This cycle began in 1926 and concludes in 2026. Before it ends, Venus will undergo one final retrograde cycle in Scorpio this October and November. During the retreat, we will explore the Venus cycle in depth — including its retrogrades, cazimis, and star points — and what this transition may signify collectively and personally.
Several striking themes emerge around this ending cycle.
The United States was born with a Scorpio Venus Star Point at the final degree of the sign. As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, it also experiences its first-ever Venus Star Point return. Whatever one’s political perspective — whether seeing the current climate as constitutional crisis, institutional collapse, or a dramatic assertion of national power — this moment represents a profound reckoning aligned with the culmination of this Scorpio cycle.
It is also noteworthy that the petroleum industry rose dramatically during the last century as Venus entered Scorpio in 1926. Now, as this phase concludes, the world is confronting both dependence upon and resistance to oil-driven economies and technologies, especially the automobile culture that shaped the modern era.
Scorpio governs themes of power, shared resources, wealth, secrecy, sexuality, and the struggle for control. These themes echo strongly throughout current world events — from economic instability and resource conflicts involving nations such as Venezuela and Iran, to cultural obsessions with hidden networks, corruption, and the exposure of buried truths.
Of course, many planetary influences contribute to these larger collective developments. Yet the movements of Venus tell a remarkably coherent story about the closing of an era.
A Gift with Registration by Next New Moon
