The Venus Star Point Gemini
June 4, 2024 to March 21, 2025

Every 4 years the Venus Star Point graces Gemini. ♊
Every 12 years Jupiter passes through Gemini. ♊
This year we have both which means the volume is turned up on everything!
You may find the Geminian part of your life over the top this year. Beginning May 2024 and continuing into the rest of the year, all this Gemini energy kicks in, although it has been building for several weeks now. You may find yourself in two places at once — if not physically at least mentally, for instance on both sides of an issue or argument or debate.
Personally, Gemini asks us to spread our wings and learn something new!
Checking out the neighborhood—becoming more diversified—exploring new vistas and worlds, meeting new people, communicating in new ways and expanding our minds to embrace new ideas. When I think about Gemini, I think the best thing it has to offer is learning. It represents the young mind, eager to learn new things—words, languages, operating systems, new platforms. It can, at times, feel like we are overloading our systems with so much information coming at us all the time. And we are! But then there’s the dilemma that the technology keeps changing and programs keep updating. Our phones are now smarter and quicker than we are, so by the time we’ve learned one set of rules, another comes along. Still, Gemini is the place where we might collectively have a greater capacity to learn all these things. Even without technology-related upgrading to our brains, we might want to put Mercury’s wings into gear and explore regions where we have never been before.
Polarization and One-Sided Thinking – The Shadow Region of Gemini
It is also when we are becoming more aware of our divisions and contradictions. Gemini is the Twins! It’s a sibling-type relationship that resides in our brain. The two hemispheres, if you will. VSPs indicate a time when we are more vocal, needing to express our points of view and also clearing the “air” as Gemini, an air sign is an important vehicle for communication. Speaking out clearly is important and speaking out kindly is even more important. The Venus Star asks for diplomacy while Jupiter in the sign asks for a greater understanding of our similarities and our differences.
Mercury is the guardian planet of Gemini and Jupiter is the guardian of Sagittarius. The two signs are opposite one another. What might Jupiter do this year while in Gemini? Normally, Jupiter represents expansion including big ideas. Gemini represents words and language. Jupiter represents, to some degree, as guardian of Pisces, belief systems. How are we able to take a big idea and put it into a language that we can all understand. How might we reconcile these seemingly opposite principles and signs and bring some understanding and wisdom into whatever issue we are grappling with at the moment.
Gemini = Students
College Campuses = Jupiter
Gemini season each year is a time when many students around the world are excitedly anticipating their commencement ceremonies. In the past several weeks, many campuses (Jupiter=higher learning) across the country have either postponed or cancelled the event due to overwhelming student protests (words). Law enforcement is once again pitted against student protest, the likes we have not witnessed since the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, particularly 1968, also a year of a Gemini Star Point, when similar protests were occurring regarding the US involvement in the Vietnam War. The current protests also concern war—the War in Gaza. It is, perhaps a reminder that war was not popular then and it is not popular now.

Gemini as the Voice of Youth
The Gemini VSP began in 1964 and very early in the cycle of the Gemini VSP we began to hear its impact and see how the two sides work together. The voice of youth, both pouring out important song lyrics to incredible music that will live forever, side by side with angry youth, demanding the establishment to change. In many cases, the angry words were played with beautiful melodies—bringing the twins into harmony. We learned, then, that communication is not a one-way street. Gemini, a sign of the twins, indicates that one mind is speaking and the other is listening. We may be listening to all the noise out there, and in a Gemini VSP year the volume on the noise is turned up considerably—but are we hearing? Reminiscent of the sentiments expressed in The Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel (coincidentally written in1964)—“people talking without speaking; people hearing without listening”…
Every four years since 1964 there has been a Gemini Star Point. And every 12 years Jupiter has chimed in—2024, 2012, 2000, 1989, 1977, 1965. And, since 2012 the nodes of Uranus have been involved.
The Planets And Their Nodes
Just like the Moon’s nodes, the planets, too, have nodes. The slower moving planets have their nodes in a fairly fixed position in the sky. Uranus’ nodes are stretched across the Gemini/Sag axis at 14⁰. The 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024 VSP have all been occurring on the nodes of Uranus, but this year it is the tightest orb to date. And, you can imagine that with Uranus’ north node in Gemini which can certainly bring us angry protest and breaking rank with the hierarchy, everything gets louder, more dramatic and more pressing. After all, Uranus is characterized as the revolutionary voice, containing a wild nature that is averse to blindly following orders from the high command.
The Venus Star, in its symmetry and beauty is a star clock operating behind the zodiac. It is something we are not aware of, but it is ticking away, slowly moving backwards through the signs, punctuating key points and planets at various times in history. The planetary nodes are also operating behind the scenes—think of it as an unconscious program running in the background. When a planet’s node is conjunct a transiting planet or natal planet, it is stimulating something in the recesses of our personal or collective mind, urging or prompting us to act in accordance with the archetypal nature of that particular planet’s node. And now, we get to witness the effect of Uranus’ node occurring right on this year’s Gemini Star Point. Along with Jupiter as well. Riding the Waves!
US Presidential Cycle is the Gemini Star Period – Every 4 Years
The other very interesting piece of this Gemini jigsaw puzzle involving planet transits, Venus Star Points and planetary nodes is that every four years the US holds a presidential election. And, since 1964 it is the Gemini VSP which characterizes election year. Mercury is its planet – watching Mercury’s movements into and out of signs, into and out of retrograde, will be important shifts on the messages we are getting—you could say so many mixed messages and media coverage in these 4-year Gemini cycles.
Inner Wheel: Chart for Gemini VSP
Outer Wheel: Geocentric Planetary Nodes
Notice the North Nodes of both Venus and Uranus are in Gemini
Venus NN – 15 Gemini
Uranus NN – 14 Gemini
VSP – 14 Gemini
This is the closest conjunction of the VSP to its own Node plus Uranus’ Node to yet occur.
Trines from Mars S Node and Moon S Node at 15 and 14 Libra.
Trine from Neptune S Node at 13-14 Aquarius.
Uranus S Node at 14 Sag makes this a Kite configuration.
LOTS OF AIR!
The Venus Star Clock and A Double “Air” Era
Another strong feature of the Gemini Star era we are in, is that things are increasingly more centered upon the element of Air, of which Gemini is a member. The other two air signs—Libra and Aquarius are all highly focused in these coming decades. Pluto will be in Aquarius for the next 20 years and The Libra Venus Star Point comes in to stay in Libra from 2030 forward, though we did have a preview of it in 2022.
With all this energy in the air, especially this year with both the VSP and Jupiter gracing Gemini, we might take note of air traffic incidents in the air from both large (rockets, jumbo jets) to the small (drones, helicopters, etc). And…birds or insects that fly! We can only hope the imaginary lanes of traffic in the air are not filled with items on a collision course. And, with the ongoing inquiries into aircraft manufacturers, what types of damages might be uncovered!
Thus, air as an element and air as a metaphor, is quite the commodity now. Are we all in the cloud now – or are we reaching for the cloud? It reminds me of the Rolling Stones “Get Off Of My Cloud” recorded in 1965 (prescient?)
