2025 marks a year of significant transitions, with several planets moving into new signs. Saturn will leave Pisces and enter Aries, while Neptune will also move from Pisces, its home sign since 2011, into Aries. Mid-year, Uranus will transition into Gemini after spending seven years in Taurus. Additionally, the Nodes of the Moon will shift from Aries/Libra to Pisces/Virgo, creating a rapidly changing narrative. One moment things seem stable, and the next, they dissolve into fragments of the past.

Adding to this dynamic, the year began with Mars in retrograde. As of February 23, it will station and turn direct, but will remain in slow-mode in Cancer until April 17/18. By May 4, when it clears its shadow degree, the destruction left in its wake will be substantial. However, this may also be the time when we collectively find the will and energy to move forward on a path of healing and resolution.

And now, Venus is set to turn retrograde just as Mars turns direct. Unlike Mars and other planets that retrograde annually, Venus retrogrades every 1.6 years. The last retrograde was in July/August 2023, and the next one will occur in March/April 2025.

As always, during Venus’s retrograde cycle, her Star Point or Cazimi with the Sun will occur on March 23rd in early Aries. During this period, Venus will transit both Saturn and Neptune in late Pisces three times, as well as pass over the Lunar Nodes three times. Notably, the World Point will be activated three times during her retrograde cycle, joining Saturn and Neptune in this activation before they all settle firmly into Aries in 2026. This marks the Alpha Omega, the entrance into a Brave New World.

When Saturn and Neptune meet, structures often dissolve as Neptune erodes the solid foundations built by Saturn. This dissolution of borders typically follows wars. The last Saturn/Neptune conjunction occurred between 1988-1990, leading to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the reformation of former Bloc countries, and the unification of Germany.

Building new worlds from rubble is a challenging task that requires time, resources, and a strong collective will. We are now at a turning point, moving away from the difficult aspects of Pisces—feeling victimized and helpless—towards the stronger qualities of Aries—facing challenges with courage and strength, and striving to be everyday heroes and heroines for our communities.

Venus Retrograde Cycle – 2025 – Aries/Pisces

Venus Star Point Aries – MS
The Passionate Activist

Every 8 years Venus retrogrades and creates a Star Point in Aries. At the halfway point, every 4 years, it makes a Star Point in Aries as well, but it is Direct. This is the heartbeat rhythm of Venus – Retrograde – Direct – Retrograde – Direct. Think of Venus throwing all her passion into Aries, the sign of the Activist, Pioneer, Warrior, Explorer, Adventurer and Hero. She is taking an extended period to stay in a sign governed by Mars, who is her opposite in many ways. Opposites as in opposites attract. Mars is everything Venus is not and vice versa. Remember the bestselling books of a few decades ago – Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.

That may be true, but in this case with Venus’ repetitive motion in Aries and Mars extending his stay in Cancer, who are the men and who are the women? The roles may surely be reversed. The point is gender is not so easy to define these days, although the culture will try to say differently. We are in an era of the gender blender, loosening our grip on extreme polarization and trying on new ways of being. This concept gains even more credence with Venus joining Neptune for an extended rendezvous. Never mind that Saturn is there and will try to outlaw and restrict such activity – with Venus the heart will go where it wants to go and nothing can stop it.

Building new worlds out of rubble is not an easy task. And, it takes time, resources and a strong will of the people to create something new and better. We are turning the corners now. This is the time to move away from what can be considered the difficult side of Pisces – feeling victimized and helpless to do anything – to the stronger side of Aries – facing storms and struggles with courage and strength, doing the best we can do to be everyday heroines and heroes to the people around us in our families, workplace and communities.
